Tasting Experience

Dark Roast · Brazilian Single Origin

Hard Earth is a bold dark roast rooted in tradition. Built for depth and strength, this coffee delivers a full bodied, robust cup that honors classic French roast character without compromise.

It is designed for those who prefer richness, intensity, and a grounding coffee experience that holds steady from first sip to last.

Roast Profile

Dark Roast

Roasted to a French level, Hard Earth is developed through extended roasting to build depth, body, and bold roasted character. The process emphasizes richness and structure while minimizing acidity.

The result is a traditional dark roast that feels confident and complete.

Origin & Sourcing

Brazil

Hard Earth sources exclusively from Brazil's Cerrado Mineiro region, an area known for consistency, scale, and controlled post-harvest practices.

The region's flat terrain and predictable climate support uniform growing conditions, allowing producers to deliver reliable quality across harvests. These established farms utilize advanced processing and drying techniques to preserve sweetness and body even at darker roast levels.

Altitude & Processing

900 to 1,400 MASL (meters above sea level)

Brazilian beans used in Hard Earth are grown at moderate elevations and processed using pulped natural methods.

This approach enhances body and natural sweetness while supporting the development of rich chocolate and nutty characteristics. The combination of altitude and processing creates a bold, full bodied dark roast with smooth texture and low acidity.

Blend Composition

Bourbon · Mundo Novo · Catuaí · Catucaí · Catigua

These classic Brazilian Arabica varietals were selected for their ability to perform under darker roasting.

Bourbon contributes natural sweetness and body.
Mundo Novo adds strength and structure.
Catuaí, Catucaí, and Catigua provide depth, resilience, and balance.

Together, they form a dark roast that is rich, stable, and deeply satisfying.

Brew Recommendations

Hard Earth performs best with methods that emphasize body and intensity.

Drip coffee

Percolator

Use a medium coarse grind for best extraction. This coffee is forgiving and consistent, producing a strong and reliable cup across brewing styles.
